Members of the Dietrich and Jung families immigrated from Hitzerode, Germany, to Clarion County PA, as did the Frederick family.

The father of Catherine Jung was Johannes Jung. He died before 1780. Nothing further is known of this Jung family line.

This gravestone at Lieberum cemetery of an unknown member of the Young (Jung) family, who died in 1875 at age 19 suggests that Catherine Jung had a brother whose children also immigrated to the Ashland Twp. Clarion Co. PA area and lived in the community with the Frederick and Dietrich families.
